Tampa's Sustainable Future

The Urban Charrette facilitates connections between the community and the built environment by cultivating awareness of respectful urban design through dialogue, collaboration, and education.

What is SDAT?

SDAT is a community assistance program from AIA National that brings a team of volunteer professionals to work with local decision-makers and stakeholders.

The Tampa SDAT, entitled Connecting Tampa, focuses on improving the neighborhood planning process. On November 12-14, 2008, the SDAT Team visited Tampa and conducted a series of meetings with local officials, neighborhood representatives, and other stakeholders in order to collect input for a final report that will include recommendations on how to update and improve the City’s neighborhood planning guidelines
