Do you think City Design is too difficult? Are our problems too large to solve?  Have recent political decisions dampened your city building spirit?  How do we create livable, prosperous human environments in this climate of uncertainty?   If some of these questions seem to be weighing on you and dampening your creative spirits. We have a solution: (or at least the beginning of one)

Join the Urban Charrette for a DISCUSSION party about the Movie entitled: A Convenient Truth: Urban Solutions from Curitiba, Brazil.   This film is inspiring and will help to rekindle our momentum for a more prosperous future.   As the movie states: “cities are the solution, NOT the problem,” if we design them to succeed.  Find out how simple solutions became monumental successes with little more than a bit of ingenuity and a driven positive outlook. We will not be watching the film but we will feature a robust discussion about the lessons that can be learned from the city of Curitiba.

If you ever wanted to explain to someone what “livability” means,  why connectivity is important, or what a holistic city is all about, bring them out to for a fun evening to discuss this film and what we can do to help our city.
