Come out to Tampa Union Station for National Train Day and the Tampa Union Station Centennial Celebration, Saturday, May 12, from 10 AM to 5 PM! Features this year include: Amtrak Equipment on Display! Live Music! Food Trucks! History Exhibits! Operating Model Railroads! Telegraph Demonstrations! History presentation featuring the Tampa Bay History Center’s Curator of History Rodney Kite-Powell, 11 AM. Free Admission. Tampa Union Station (Amtrak Station), 601 N. Nebraska Avenue, Downtown Tampa, 10 AM-5 PM. Hassle-free event parking in the City of Tampa Twiggs St. Garage at the corner of Twiggs and East Streets, 1-1/2 blocks from Union Station (nominal fee). This year is particularly special however, as it is Tampa Union Station's Centennial Birthday! Since this is an extra special Train Day, we have expanded the event a bit to include some live music and food trucks.
Musical performances include Ray Chiaramonte of the Hillsborough MPO and Busted Blues.
Food Trucks include - Taco Bus, Stinky Bunz, Burger Culture, and Wicked Witches
